HRD in Business

Purpose of the Project: To explain the three domain/areas of HRD which are training and development, career development, and organization development and how it relates to business (Werner, 2022) to people in business.

Presentation Format: We wanted our presentation of HRD in business to reach people in business with in-depth information, which led us to choose a website. We used Squarespace and Getty images in the creation of the website.

Context: We chose business as our context because all team members have extensive experience in business; as a result, we plan to increase our understanding of HRD in business.

Overview of the Content: HRD is defined as the progression of an employee’s values and skills within an organization. As a result, the productivity of the organization increases (Werner, 2022).

T&D: Implementing programs that train and develop employees to ensure skills and knowledge are adequate for the current and long-term success of the organization (Werner, 2022).

CD: Establishing and taking necessary steps to create a career plan that benefits both

employees and the organization (Werner, 2022).

OD: This project will discuss how OD can improve the health of employees and groups while navigating changes, emphasizing on change management, team-building exercises, and organizational assessments. (Swanson & Holton, 2009).

Implications for the Context: We will implement three domains of HRD to business:

T&D: Utilizing T&D helps increase skills and competencies of employees, as a result, the productivity and profitability of an organization increase (Clarke et al., 2022).

CD: It is necessary for organizations to utilize CD to ensure that employees are equipped to handle different roles and responsibilities that are required (Werner, 2022).

OD: fosters a positive organizational culture, which can strengthen the overall well-being of employees and enhance employee performance (Werner, 2022).
