“My name is Carolyn Collins Groeteke, I recently got married on August 10, 2024. This is my 1st semester in the Human Resources Development Masters program. I have received my bachelor's in Industrial Technology and MBA from the University of Texas, Tyler.  I have a strong love for this University. We live across from the University in the Foundry Apartments. We go over to the lake to feed all the animals by hand (Nutria Rats, ducks, squirrels, and turtles). As I look back on my own career development journey, I recall when I was in high school I worked in a clothing store and church nursery. As a young mother, I was a general sales manager for a start-up D.M.E. company. Next, I work as a supervisor at a county jail. After that, I enrolled at Lee College and graduated with a Drafting Degree, since then I have had my jobs and much education. I also started my own business as a web developer/web host”

“Hi, my name is Mackenzie, and I am a 39-year-old married mother of three. I grew up in West Texas in the Odessa/Midland area until high school and then moved to the Dallas metroplex. I have a BBA in Management from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin. I am taking the current course as it is required for the master’s program and to gain a better understanding of human resources basics.  My expectation of this course is to learn from our professor and other student’s practices that I can take into my future career. I will contribute any knowledge, experience, or skills to assist in the class.”
